Ocean House built in 2001 on the site of a traditional fisherman's house has 3 bedrooms (3 doubles) on 3 floors and sleeps 6.
On the ground floor there is a lounge leading to a large open plan luxury fitted kitchen and dining-area on the Ocean side of the house. The kitchen door opens into a small courtyard with a barbecue.
The courtyard has access to the Oceanfront. On the first floor there is the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and an ocean view balcony. Next to the master bedroom is Bedroom 2.
And next to this bedroom is a bathroom. On the top (second floor) is Bedroom 3 next to a sun-bathing terrace with ocean views.
Also, on the top floor is the utility room with a washing machine. The house is tastefully decorated with nautical, African and European themes symbolising the owners’ passion for the ocean and life both in Madeira & South Africa.

Not only is Paul do Mar one of the sunniest and hottest villages in Madeira with spectacular sunsets...it's a fishing village next to the Atlantic Ocean!
Its a centre for many watersports including: surfing, fishing, snorkelling,windsurfing and with a flat seafront perfect for easy walks, cycling and other activities such as rollerskating.
Paul do Mar is only 10 minutes drive from the capital of the Region CALHETA with a yacht marina, white African sand beaches and shopping centres and 40 minutes from FUNCHAL, the capital of MADEIRA ISLAND.
Between mountains and Ocean
The village is a base for mountain walks up the mountains behind the village to Prazeres and Faja da Ovelha and from those walks...walkers can connect to 'levada' walks along the island's irrigation channels.
